At Thrust Floors we have been servicing customers throught Australia Wide for over 50 years, for all their Timber Flooring, Hardwood Flooring, Wooden Flooring, Laminate & Bamboo Flooring needs.
These embellishments include, wire brushing, hand distressing, hand bevelling, bleaching/ liming, colouring and wet burnished hand finishing work. These are all designed to make your parquetry floor absolutely “unique” to you and your home. Parquet Flooring Sydney, is the home of “Australian Parquet Industries” owned and operated by the Swindale family, who for over 50 years have specialised in the fine art of crafting handsome parquetry patterns and designs into all of the many parquet installations that they have created for both Government and gentry in all Australian States and Territories, for over half a century.
Gerry Swindale, owner and Chairman of the Group is also Chairman -Technical Committee of the National Wood Flooring Association of Australian (NWFAA) and has been its President for the past 14 years.
Known as the Father of Parquet and Parquetry Flooring in Australia, Mr Swindale has been awarded many industry acknowledgements for his outstanding service to the industry at large. He has achieved a number of Australian Patents as Parquetry Flooring Systems. These include the Industrial “Embossed Rustic” Parquet and the “Air-Thrust” “cushion-of-air” Sprung Floor constructions. These are very suitable for schools/ colleges/ sports stadiums and many of the elite performing arts centres and parquet courts throughout Australia.
Each of these systems offers the unique advantage of a “multi-directional’” form of parquet incorporated into the design. This enables the “Air-Thrust” System to be installed in areas of up to 4,000 m2 at a time without any requirement for internal construction joints. This form of parquetry reduces by 50% the expansion and contraction rates in which are inherent in every one-directional wood floor where expansion factors multiply.
We had our floating floor installed by the the team at thrust floors and had no problems it’s over 5 yrs old now and we have no complaints.
